Amnesty International, the most prominent human rights organisation in the world, has called for Ehsan Ali and other unjustly imprisoned leaders of the Awami Action Committee to be released.
Their statement notes:
“Amnesty International calls on the Pakistani authorities to immediately release all detained AAC activists and drop all charges against them related to their peaceful activism.”
This is a very significant win for the campaign to end the brutal and arbitrary suppression of these activists by the Pakistani state. Our voices are being heard! Our campaign will not cease until they are released!
