On 11 June, we shared the excellent news about Ehsan Ali’s release from jail after three months in captivity, following our international solidarity campaign to secure his release.
Upon the return of his confiscated phone on 18 June, Ehsan Ali shared the following message with us:
I was released on bail from the central Giglit prison on 11 June. My cell phone, which was taken away from me by police after my arrest on 10 March, was finally returned on 18 June. On my behalf, and on behalf of other comrades of the RCP in Gilgit-Baltistan, we pay our thanks for the tireless revolutionary struggle made by our RCI and its various sections around the world. It was the result of tremendous pressure exerted on the rulers of Pakistan by the different sections of RCI that we secured my release and quashment of the fake concocted criminal case against me, under the draconian law of Anti Terrorism Act. The revolutionary struggle of our comrades made possible my release on bail from prison.
